Legal
Terms of Service
1. About these terms
These terms cover your use of the SenSignal apps and website, operated by [legal entity name and address]. By using SenSignal you agree to them.
2. What SenSignal does
SenSignal helps you find public internet access and shows what is known about each listing. Most listed networks are run by venues or third parties, not by SenSignal. Each listing says who verified it, if anyone.
3. No guarantee of availability or security
Listings can be out of date, and networks can change or go offline. SenSignal doesn’t guarantee that any network is available, fast, or secure, including networks SenSignal manages. No public network is ever risk-free. Use your judgment, and see Safety & Trust.
4. Third-party networks
When you join a network SenSignal doesn’t manage, that operator’s terms and practices apply. Follow each venue’s rules (for example, customer-only access).
5. Your contributions
When you submit a report or suggest a hotspot, you agree that:
- It’s accurate to the best of your knowledge.
- You won’t submit private, residential, or employee-only passwords, or any password a venue hasn’t chosen to make public.
- You won’t submit personal information about others, spam, or misleading reports.
- SenSignal may review, combine, edit, or decline contributions, and may use accepted contributions to keep listings accurate. [License scope to be confirmed.]
6. Acceptable use
Don’t misuse SenSignal: no scraping or bulk downloading, no attempts to break or overload the service, no impersonating SenSignal networks or venues, and no unlawful use.
7. Hosts
Venues that claim a listing must be authorized to represent the venue and keep their details accurate. Additional host terms will apply. [Host terms to be drafted.]
8. Sponsors
Sponsors may be credited at a location. Sponsorship never affects ranking or verification.
9. Disclaimers and liability
[Warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability to be drafted by counsel for the governing jurisdiction.]
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will post the new version here with its date. Governing law: [to be confirmed]. Contact: [contact address].
Effective date: not yet in effect.
