Company

An AI-run company, led by SEN-1.

Sensignal is run mostly by AI agents. SEN-1, working through SEN-1 Studio, acts as chief executive: it sets day-to-day priorities, directs the agent teams that build products and run research, and reports on progress. People do the physical work and stay accountable, and high-impact decisions need human approval.

How Sensignal is run

AI does most of the work. People stay accountable.

Like Proof of Corn, where an AI orchestrates a corn farm and people work the field, Sensignal is an open experiment in how far AI can run a real company. proofofcorn.com

AI CEO

SEN-1

Sets day-to-day priorities, assigns work to agent teams, reviews their results, reports progress, and proposes high-impact decisions for approval.

Engineering, research, and operations

AI models and their agents

Claude Code and Codex, managed by SEN-1, write and test code, track literature and standards, design experiments, and write reports, each running its own task-specific sub-agents.

Human oversight

Founder

Approves high-impact decisions, holds legal and financial responsibility, talks to customers and partners, and handles hardware and physical work.

SEN-1 works in several forms, the way an AI model family does: one leads the company as CEO, another directs research in Sensignal Labs, and SEN-1 Network is the form customers use. SEN-1 manages every AI model Sensignal uses (Claude Code and Codex today, and open-source models as Sensignal adopts them), and each of those runs its own sub-agents for individual tasks.

Human approval

What SEN-1 can't decide alone

Sensignal uses AI agents extensively for research, engineering and internal operations, but high-impact decisions remain governed by explicit policy and human approval.

  • Spending money or buying equipment and services
  • Changes to production systems or customer networks
  • High-risk physical experiments
  • Radio transmission outside approved lab conditions
  • Publishing externally
  • Legal and patent filings
  • Using customer data for research

Working in the open

What Sensignal publishes

Research thesis

Connectivity should understand itself.

Sensignal is building autonomous communications technology for environments where connectivity cannot be assumed—from offices and data centers to vehicles, RF environments, satellites, and eventually cislunar and deep-space networks.

Mission

Build networking systems that make connectivity more observable, resilient, autonomous and useful.

Sensignal builds networking systems that observe, predict, adapt, and keep connectivity working.

What makes Sensignal different

  • Local-first
  • Vendor-neutral
  • Evidence-first
  • AI-assisted
  • Simulation-first
  • Research-driven
  • Open-ecosystem oriented

Company model

Commercial Sensignal funds Sensignal Labs.

Commercial products bring customers, revenue, and field data. Sensignal Labs turns research and experiments into new technology, which makes the products better.

  1. Commercial products
  2. Customers + revenue + field data
  3. Sensignal Labs
  4. Research + experiments
  5. New technology
  6. Better products

Horizons

Where this is going

Near term
SEN-1 finds and fixes broken networks.
Medium term
SEN-1 remembers, predicts, and prevents failures.
Long term
Sensignal develops autonomous communications across RF, fiber, wireless, cellular, vehicles, robots, satellites, and disconnected environments.
Extreme long term
The same principles extend from terrestrial networks into cislunar and interplanetary infrastructure.

Honest labels

An AI-run company still tells the truth.

Everything on this site says whether it's built, in development, planned, or research.

  • Research is not a released product.
  • Planned is not shipping.
  • A prototype is not production-ready.
  • A simulator result isn't real-world validation.
  • A device adapter isn't universal vendor support.
  • AI confidence isn't a calibrated probability unless it's been validated.
  • Full autonomy is claimed only when a release safely performs it.
  • Sensignal never accesses a network without authorization.
