Accessibility
Built for everyone who needs to get online.
Draft: not yet in effect. This accessibility statement is a working draft written from the app’s current behavior. It must be reviewed by a qualified lawyer, and the bracketed details filled in, before SenSignal launches.
Our goal
We aim for the SenSignal apps and website to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We haven’t completed an independent audit yet, and we’ll publish its results here.
In the app
- Screen reader labels for VoiceOver (iPhone) and TalkBack (Android)
- Text that scales with your system font size, and large touch targets
- Status is never shown by color alone. Shape, outline, fill, and text labels carry meaning too.
- Everything on the map is also available in List mode
- Animations respect your Reduce Motion setting
On this website
- Semantic headings, landmarks, and a “Skip to content” link
- Full keyboard navigation with visible focus
- High-contrast black, white, and gray design
- Works without JavaScript, and respects reduced-motion preferences
Known limitations
The interactive map is visual. List mode in the app provides the same results for screen reader users.
