SEN-1 Network

Sensignal's autonomous infrastructure engineer: a local desktop application for evidence-backed network diagnosis, device inspection, and network memory.

In development / Alpha

An autonomous network engineer you can run locally.

SEN-1 is designed to evolve from evidence-backed diagnosis into governed autonomous repair. Every future repair is being built to follow the same path, and to roll back if verification fails.

  • Observe

  • Repair

  • Rollback
  • Remember
  • Predict
  1. Observe
  2. Diagnose
  3. Plan
  4. Validate
  5. Execute
  6. Verify
  7. Roll back if needed

Managed-device support is expanding and is still being validated against more real hardware. Autonomous write/remediation capabilities are under development.

What problem does it solve?

Network problems are slow to diagnose and the evidence disappears once the outage is over. SEN-1 Network gathers evidence, explains what it found and how sure it is, and keeps a history of the network so past problems can be investigated.

Who is it for?

Technicians, network engineers, MSPs, and small and mid-sized businesses running their own networks.

What exists today?
  • Local Windows desktop application
  • Deterministic network health checks
  • Evidence-backed diagnosis with confidence, limitations, and the next test to run
  • Works locally without an AI provider
  • Network map and LLDP/CDP topology
  • Read-only managed device inspection over SSH/SNMP (Cisco IOS/IOS-XE, Linux/OpenWrt)
  • Flight Recorder: historical timeline, incident detection, and "what happened at this time?" queries
  • Guided manual fixes, re-checks, and before/after comparison
  • Diagnostics export, audit records, signed updates, and local credential storage
What's being developed?
  • Governed repair workflows: explicit scope, change plans, checkpoints, verification, and rollback
  • Validation on more real hardware, installers, and AI providers
  • Flight Recorder expansion and wider device support
What evidence does it use?

Health-check results, read-only device data collected over SSH/SNMP, LLDP/CDP neighbor data, and the Flight Recorder history. Every diagnosis reports its confidence, its limitations, and the next test that would confirm it.

Does it work locally or offline?

Yes. SEN-1 Network runs on your Windows computer and works without an AI provider. A local Ollama integration and an optional Anthropic integration are part of its architecture.

What permissions does it need?

Read-only credentials for the devices you choose to inspect (SSH/SNMP). Credentials are stored locally.

What will it never do without authorization?

It doesn't change device configuration: managed-device access is read-only and fixes are guided steps you carry out. Future automated repair is being built to act only within an explicit, authorized scope, with a change plan, checkpoint, verification, and rollback.

Where does it fit?

The flagship product. SEN-1 Portable is its no-install field edition, SEN-1 Fleet manages many sites, and the Network Flight Recorder Appliance would package its history capability as dedicated hardware.
